Launching in October 2020, we had high hopes for 2021. Whilst we may have spent the first few months in lockdown, we're proud of the product developments and plans we made - which meant we were straight out of the starting blocks once Boris gave us the go ahead! Below are just some of the teams' highlights from our first full year in the market.
Short-Stay Summit Europe
With the first half of the year meaning all events were postponed or cancelled due to Covid restrictions, we were thrilled to go to the Short Stay Summit - the first in-person event for a long time!
Richard Bridger, the founder of Hospiria, discussed the topic “How Technology is advancing in the Short-Term Rental sector” along with fellow industry friends (and Hospiria partners) James Burrows, CEO of Rentals United, Jeremy Gall, CEO of Breezeway.
We also enjoyed exhibiting - which gave us an overdue opportunity to catch up with property managers and the wider industry and celebrate getting through a tough first half of the year! Our team was overjoyed to see people’s interest in the unique features of Hospiria. Most importantly, we enjoyed a well-deserved drink with the industry to celebrate the rollercoaster of 18 months we'd been through!
iOi Pitch Battle with the National Association of Realtors
Richard Bridger attended the National Association of Realtors where he presented the innovative concept and features of the property management system, and we were thrilled to be recognised as a finalist! The event was organised for companies with a focus on the dynamics of innovation in their markets – and Hospiria is a great example as it aims to simplify the short-term rental industry and make it more accessible for both small operations and large organisations moving into the space.
Best Technology Product at the Travolution Awards 2021
Having launched little over a year ago, we were thrilled that Hospiria was recongised by the prestigous Travolution awards by being shortlisted for the Best Technology Product at the Travolution awards. Next year, we're hoping to be nominated for more awards and look forward to hopefully bringing one home!
CREtech London
Next in Hospiria's roadshow was CREtech followed shortly by ARLA where we exhibited on the REACH stand alongside other members. This gave us a great opportunity to speak to the wider property industry and discuss ways in which we could bring our mission to life - by helping the property industry maximise the potential of their properties all the time.
With all the events, award wins and new partners that joined us in 2021, we are excited to continue the momentum into the new year, to see how we can work with more people to simplify operations and put the fun back into hospitality!
